I'm not receiving the SMS code 📲
Updated on 04/01/2026
Haven't received the expected SMS from Roomlala? Don't panic. In most cases, the issue is due to a simple notification setting or an incorrectly entered number. Here is how to check and fix this in a few minutes.
Why Roomlala sends you SMS
We send you SMS in two main situations:
- To verify your phone number during registration.
- To notify you of an important event, such as a new booking request.
1. Check your notification settings
Log in to your account, go to the "My account" tab, then to the "Profile" section.
Make sure the following option is checked:
- "I agree to receive SMS to be notified of booking requests"
2. Check your phone number
A single wrong digit or incorrect country code is enough to prevent delivery. Check your number and its country code in the "My account" tab, under the "Verifications" section.
3. If the SMS still doesn't arrive
The blockage often comes from your carrier. Here are a few things to check:
- Carrier spam filter: some carriers filter automated SMS. Contact your carrier or check the settings in your customer portal to unblock them.
- Prepaid or unpaid plan: in case of insufficient balance, unpaid bills, or late payments, your carrier may suspend the receipt of SMS.
Is SMS verification mandatory?
Yes, and it is important. Validating your number via SMS is the only way to confirm your phone. It allows other members of the Roomlala community to contact you easily in case of a booking, and reinforces trust between hosts and guests.
